Our Programs and Drop-In Center
RESTORATION DIVERSION SERVICES is committed to providing short- and long-term solutions to help victims and survivors involved in human trafficking build better lives. We run a drop-in center in Compton, CA, and offer a variety of court- and non-court-ordered programs for those who have been involved in human trafficking or arrested for trafficking-related crimes.
Our Drop-In Center
The RDS Drop-In Center serves as a vital refuge for survivors of human trafficking, strategically located on Long Beach Boulevard in Compton in the heart of an area known for major trafficking called “The Blade.” This central location makes RDS a critical resource for individuals seeking support and safety as they work to escape exploitation. At the drop-in center, survivors are welcomed with dignity and compassion. We offer them a safe space to rest, access restrooms, take a shower, and enjoy a warm or cold beverage along with snacks. Here, they can find a moment of peace, comfort, and the understanding they deserve.
Survivor Diversion Program
The Survivor Diversion Program (SDP), formerly known as the Prostitution Diversion Program (PDP), is a court- and non-court-ordered program for those who are involved in human trafficking and have been arrested for trafficking-related crimes. When a victim has been arrested on human trafficking charges, they will be given the option to either accept or decline the SDP. The program is implemented during group sessions.
Our SDP is entitled “Ending The Game” and lasts 1-18 weeks. The goal of the program is to mentor and educate clients, thereby encouraging them to exit the life of a survivor while providing them with the help they need to ultimately live self-sufficient, productive lives.
Supportive Services
Supportive Services are provided to victims of human trafficking who are participants in the SDP group sessions, drop-in center clients, and non-court-ordered referrals. The Supportive Services complement the Survivor Diversion Program. All victims and survivors in RDS will participate in SDP group meetings. However, referrals for Supportive Services include:
- Mental Health
- Anger Management
- Parenting
- Domestic Violence
- Workforce Program - Coming Soon
- GED Preparation
- Substance/Alcohol Abuse
- Computer Access

Temporary Assistance
We all need help from time to time. RDS collaborates with sheltering programs throughout various counties to provide housing for victims/survivors involved in human trafficking. At the first point of contact, an intake form may be completed by a restoration worker, or a contact number will be provided to the victim. Then, the participants may be transferred or referred to a program that best fits their needs.
The participants will be required to follow the guidelines and rules of the sheltering program. A restoration team will be assigned to the individual, and we will oversee and make every effort to meet the needs of each participant.
