Drop-In Center:

RDS Drop-In Center provides a place of refuge for victims of sex trafficking. The Center services are provided including snacks, toiletries, STI educational materials, GED preparation, a place to shower, condoms, and additional resources based on the individual’s needs.

Currently, RDS Drop-In Center hours of operation are 16 hours a week and will increase to 40 hours once funded and the Center is completely staffed. The Center is now operated by RDS membership and volunteers.

All of RDS services are housed in the Drop-In Center facility with the exception of the Support Services which is collaborated with other agencies.

Prostitution Diversion Program:

The Prostitution Diversion Program (PDP) is a court ordered and non-court ordered program for women who are involved in sex trafficking and have been arrested for prostitution. This particular PDP is a 1-18 week program that is implemented at RDS facilities. RDS is required to provide the Supportive Services for clients that participate with non-court ordered clients. When a victim has been arrested on sex trafficking charges, she will be given the option to either accept or decline PDP. The program is implemented during group sessions.

RDS’s has established its own PDP with Compton Court. RDS 1-18 week group curriculum is entitled Seeking Safety. The goal of RDS’s Diversion Program is to mentor and educate clients, thereby encouraging them to exit the life of prostitution while providing them the support they need to ultimately live self-sufficient productive lives.

Supportive Services:

The Supportive Services are provided to victims of sex trafficking who are participants of the PDP group sessions, Drop-In Center clients, and non-court ordered referrals. The Supportive Services complement the Diversion Program.

All women in RDS will participate with PDP group meetings. However, referral for Supportive Services includes: Mental Health, Anger Management, Parenting, Domestic Violence, GED Preparation, Substance/Alcohol Abuse, Computer Access, Mentoring, Job Preparation, Shelter Referrals, and STI Workshops.

Other services offered as needed.
